Each customer's interaction with your brand is greatly influenced by the packaging. The font, color, and box design selections you make draw attention to the things you've worked so hard to make and distinguish your brand.

Nothing is more disappointing than discovering your great brand design and packaging ideas won't function with particular materials after you've spent the time and effort to make them. So, how do you prevent this and produce a fantastic design that goes well with the materials you choose for your package? Learning about some of the materials used on the Xianda items is the best approach to avoiding some of that tension.

Understanding the various materials available will help you narrow down your choices, create a design that gets the attention of your customers, and showcase your items the way you see them, whether you're trying to revamp your present offering or you're brand new to the process altogether. Need to know more? When it comes time to create your art, keep these suggestions in mind.

Picking the appropriate materials

The material you select acts as the final basis for your artwork, and it is crucial to consider the color and branding used on your packaging. Start by selecting a packaging material that, in terms of size, weight, and aesthetics, fits your product the best. Here are two typical choices:

Corrugated Board: Robust and adaptable, corrugated board works well for a range of uses, including shipping, e-commerce products, and subscription kits. It is best for heavy products. Mailer boxes, shipping boxes, and corrugated product boxes are among the corrugated products offered by Xianda.

Paperboard: Paperboard is a lightweight, foldable material that is frequently used to package commodities like cosmetics, retail items, and food items. Product boxes constructed of paperboard are available from Xianda.

Kraft Corrugated

With typical natural brown coloring on both the inside and exterior of the box, this material delivers a natural, matte feel. Since the cardboard liner's base color will distort the aesthetic of lighter colors (except digital white ink), this material frequently works best with darker hues. Our digital white ink printing process makes sure that white is vividly printed and strikingly presented on kraft. Inks are cured to produce a sturdy and scratch-resistant finish on areas that display branding and artwork, which is great for maintaining logos and high-quality artwork.

Standard White Corrugated

Standard White differs from Kraft in that it has a white liner on both the interior and exterior of the box. This implies that all colors will print accurately and "true-to-hue" on this material. Although some lighter colors may be significantly altered by mottling on the liner (caused by natural paper fibers) and semi-transparent inks, the artwork seems sharp and vibrant. Standard White's printed regions are dried to a satin surface, which is perfect for preventing scratches or scuffs on your package while shipping.

100% Recycled Corrugated Kraft

Recycled corrugated kraft is a great option if you need an economical and environmentally friendly shipping solution! Custom designs must be produced to print just in black ink (with halftones) on this material since Xianda's Econoflex print option is the only one that is accessible. It's a flexible option because it's affordable, entirely recyclable, and adaptable to the needs of your company.

This product is created entirely from corrugated Kraft cardboard that has been recycled and is recyclable. Although this material can only be printed on black ink, the use of halftones makes it possible to develop details in gradient hues. Econoflex ensures that you get the most value for your money by highlighting the design of your brand with print quality that is equivalent to the clarity of flexography. Dreamcoat

Dreamcoat, commonly referred to as Kemi, is a high-end clay-coated corrugated material that is smooth to the touch and has a solid white finish as opposed to Standard White or Kraft. Your colors have a flawless white basis with this material's coating, guaranteeing a bold printed aesthetic and brilliant hues. Dreamcoat is a fantastic choice if you want to provide your customers with a more vivid and high-resolution unboxing experience. Depending on your selections, the artwork printed on this material is cured to produce a satin or high-gloss surface (with HDPrint).

On Dreamcoat, Xianda's HDPrint method adds a wow factor to your packaging's presence. The quality of colors used in your artwork adds an extra element of design aesthetics to the packaging when printed with HDPrint. Any dark or deep colors used will be extra glossy, whereas lighter colors will have a shimmery or nearly matte finish.

Paperboard

We only offer one type of paperboard material at Xianda, which is specific to our product box offerings. This material has a smooth top side that is clay-coated white and an uncoated bottom side. To protect the box and prevent scuffs or scratches, digitally printed boxes are finished with a semi-gloss aqueous coating. Paperboard is an excellent choice for small text and detailed artwork; it is also an excellent choice for primary packaging.
